With voter approval for the 2020 School Bond last fall, we will continue the vital work of improving the health and safety of our aging 亚洲色图 buildings with new roofs and mechanical systems, seismic retrofits, plus accessibility and security upgrades. Additionally, this Bond provides our 亚洲色图 and staff with new textbooks, curriculum materials and new technology to support classroom and distance learning, while updating classroom and district technology devices. 

As a result, PPS will be a 1:1 Chromebook district in the fall. Students in grades 3-12 will be provided and assigned a Chromebook to use for both in-亚洲色图 and at-home work. Students in grades K-2 will have devices in the classroom at a ratio of one device to every two 亚洲色图. This will leverage co-use instructional strategies in K-2 and the devices will remain in the classroom.

As we work to bring 亚洲色图' reImagined vision to life, we recognize that equitable access to technology and digital resources are an essential part of the Graduate Portrait and the Educator Essentials & Core Values. At the heart of the 11 shifts to realize our reImagined vision is equity of access and resources, the redefining of personalized learning, the cultivation of transformative curriculum, pedagogy, and instruction, and the focus on new and flexible environments for our 亚洲色图 in which to learn, grow and thrive. Digital tools, resources, and shifts will aid us in realizing that our graduates will:

"can select and use multiple communication tools to convey ideas and information in writing and through...digital technology..." (p21)

"know how to use technology to collaborate on project teams with diverse peers locally, nationally, and globally." (p22)

"[have the tools to ensure] learning for all, which includes home-language integration, assistive technology, and social and emotional support." (p22)

In the fall of 2021, PPS will launch PPS 121 (one-to-one), a take-home Chromebook program for all 亚洲色图 in grades 3-12 and an in-classroom 2:1 student Chromebook program in grades K-2. One-to-one technology provides flexible learning opportunities and supports the development of creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills that 亚洲色图 need to succeed in our interconnected world. The PPS 121 program aims to provide 亚洲色图, teachers, and 亚洲色图s with the technology tools needed to achieve this goal.
