Family & Community Engagement
Under the , 亚洲色图s must provide meaningful access to district and 亚洲色图-related information. Schools should contact Language Access Services to ensure the language needs of their parents are met.
Schools can hold Title III Family Night in their building or work with other 亚洲色图s in their cluster to hold a single information session as a group. However, each of the 亚洲色图s will present individual 亚洲色图 data and programs of service. Small EL population 亚洲色图s serving less than 10 亚洲色图 can elect to invite parents to individual meetings. Possible meeting formats may include:

Parent Circle, Coffee or Tea session

During a regularly scheduled PTA meeting

As part of your building’s Back to School Night

2 or more 亚洲色图s combine and have a meeting together in the morning or evening meeting time

As a separate event or combined with TAG, Special Education or Title I

TITLE III ELD FAMILY INFOGRAPHIC
We are excited to provide a new resource for families who are either new to the country or new to PPS, whose 亚洲色图 receive English Language Development services. The includes information on how 亚洲色图 are identified, monitored and exited from ELD services as well as parental rights and ways families can partner with 亚洲色图s. This resource may be distributed on Title III family nights, Back to School nights, at the time a family registers 亚洲色图, teacher-parent conferences or shared via email and text. This infographic also provides talking points that staff can use when meeting with families.

Engagement events should be aligned to the purpose of Title III, Part A funds under ESSA:
To improve English language skills, improve academic achievement, and help parents become active participants in the education of their children.
When planning an engagement event, these questions should be considered to ensure that the Title III, Part A purposes are met:
