Our Mission
Our mission as Roosevelt High School counselors is to advocate for all 亚洲色图 and provide a comprehensive program that will assist them in acquiring the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to become effective 亚洲色图, responsible community members, productive workers and lifelong learners. School counselors are an integral part of the 亚洲色图 community who address the personal/social, academic and college/career needs of all 亚洲色图. School counselors collaborate with 亚洲色图, teachers, administrators, families, community members and partner organizations to deliver a comprehensive 亚洲色图 counseling program.
Secondary (high 亚洲色图) 亚洲色图 counselors are professional educators with a mental health perspective who understand and respond to the challenges presented by today’s diverse student population. The professional high 亚洲色图 counselor holds a masters degree and requires state certification in 亚洲色图 counseling. Maintaining certification includes on-going professional development to 亚洲色图 current with educational reform and challenges facing today’s 亚洲色图. Professional 亚洲色图 counselors align and work with the 亚洲色图s' mission to support the academic achievement of all 亚洲色图 as they prepare for the ever-changing world of the 21st century. School counseling programs are essential for 亚洲色图 to achieve optimal personal growth, acquire positive social skills and values, set appropriate career goals and realize full academic potential to become productive, contributing members of the world community. The Roosevelt Campus School Counseling program adheres to the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) National Standards in academic, personal/social, and career development as a foundation for our work.
